Connect Cursor

Add the Link in Seconds MCP server to Cursor so the agent can publish what it builds as a live link.

Cursor reads MCP servers from an mcp.json file. Add Link in Seconds and the agent can publish what it builds, such as a prototype page or a generated report, and hand you a shareable link.

  1. Create an API key

    Open Dashboard → API keys, create a key named “Cursor” and copy it.

  2. Add the server to mcp.json

    Use ~/.cursor/mcp.json to have it in every project, or .cursor/mcp.json in one project. Cursor can read the key from an environment variable, which keeps it out of the file:

    ~/.cursor/mcp.json
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "linkinseconds": {
          "url": "https://linkinseconds.com/api/mcp",
          "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ${env:LIS_API_KEY}" }
        }
      }
    }

    Set LIS_API_KEY in your shell profile and restart Cursor, or paste the key in place of ${env:LIS_API_KEY} if the file never leaves your machine.

  3. Check it in settings

    Open Cursor Settings, then the MCP section. linkinseconds should show as enabled with six tools.

  4. Ask the agent

    Text
    Build a landing page for this project as one index.html and publish it with linkinseconds

Good to know#

Inline uploads take files up to 3 MB, which covers most HTML pages, Markdown, CSV and images. A static site with many files is published from the website as a ZIP; see Host a static website.

Security

Don't commit a .cursor/mcp.json that contains a real key. Use the ${env:…} form for project files.
