Last updated September 2026
This page explains how to raise a complaint about content, conduct, or the handling of your personal data on Link in Seconds, and what you can expect from us in return. It sets out the grievance mechanism required by Rule 3(2) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and it names the officer responsible for acting on your complaint.

Link in Seconds acts as an intermediary within the meaning of Section 2(1)(w) and Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Content is stored and made available at the direction of users; we do not initiate the transmission, select the receiver of the transmission, or select or modify the information contained in it.

What you can raise here
You can use this mechanism to bring any of the following to our attention:

We commit to the following, and we keep an internal record of how each complaint is handled:
- Acknowledgement within 24 hours and resolution within 15 days of receipt of a grievance, under Rule 3(2)(a).
- Expeditious removal of content we determine to be unlawful once we have actual knowledge of it.
- Removal within 24 hours of a complaint about content that depicts a person in a state of nudity, a sexual act, or is in the nature of impersonation including artificially morphed images (non-consensual intimate imagery), when the complaint is made by the individual or someone acting on their behalf, as required by Rule 3(2)(b).

How to file a grievance
Email the Grievance Officer at support@linkinseconds.com and include as much of the following as you can, so we can act without delay:
- Your name.
- Your contact details (email, and a phone number if relevant).
- The exact URL or link of the content you are complaining about (for example, a /p/<slug> page).
- The nature of your complaint and why the content or conduct is objectionable.
- Any supporting information (screenshots, proof of ownership, identification where a privacy or impersonation complaint requires it).
- A statement that the information in your complaint is accurate and made in good faith.
Data-protection grievances
If your complaint concerns your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, raise it here first. To exercise your rights of access, correction, updating, erasure, or nomination, or to raise a data grievance, contact us at support@linkinseconds.com. We will handle these requests through the same acknowledge-and-resolve process described above. For the full detail of what we collect, why, and who receives it, see our Privacy Policy.
How to escalate
If you are not satisfied with how the Grievance Officer handled your complaint, you have further options:
- Content moderation appeals. If you are aggrieved by a decision of the Grievance Officer, you may appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee constituted under Rule 3A of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021, within thirty (30) days, at gac.gov.in. We will abide by any order the Committee makes.
- Data-protection matters. You have the right to make a complaint to the Data Protection Board of India regarding the processing of your personal data.
Child safety and emergencies
If your complaint concerns child sexual abuse material or the endangerment of a child, do not wait for this grievance process. We have a zero-tolerance policy: such content is removed immediately, the account is banned, the material and associated records are preserved, and the matter is reported to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in and to the local police, as required under Section 67B of the IT Act, 2000 and the POCSO Act, 2012. See our Child Safety Policy for the full process.

A note on scale
Link in Seconds is an ordinary intermediary. The additional duties that apply to a Significant Social Media Intermediary under Rule 4 of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines) Rules, 2021 (such as monthly compliance reports and the appointment of a Chief Compliance Officer, Nodal Contact Person, and Resident Grievance Officer) apply only above the notified threshold of 50 lakh (5 million) registered users, which we are well below. We observe the Rule 3 due-diligence duties described on this page.
