Share any file, not just screen recordings

The best Jumpshare alternative depends on what you share. Jumpshare is a screen recording and screenshot tool with sharing built in; its free Basic plan gives you 2 GB of storage and 250 MB per file, and password protection and analytics are listed under the paid Plus plan. If you mostly share files you already have (PDFs, decks, videos, images), Link in Seconds turns any file into a link with password, expiry and page-by-page analytics free, and links that never expire.

Jumpshare figures below are from jumpshare.com and its help center as listed in October 2026.

What does Jumpshare do well?

Be fair to it: Jumpshare is built around capture, and it is good at that.

  • Record and share in one step. Record your screen or a part of it, grab a screenshot, and you get a link right away. For bug reports, quick walkthroughs and async feedback, that loop is the point.
  • Video tools on paid plans. Per Jumpshare's help center, Plus adds unlimited recording, captions and transcription and video editing; Business adds an inbox for receiving files and version history.
  • Teams. Pricing is per user, which suits a team that records a lot of short videos.
Honest verdict: if your day is screen recordings and screenshots, stay with Jumpshare (or a similar capture tool). Link in Seconds does not record anything. It is for sharing the file once it exists.

Any file, opened in the browser

Upload a PDF, a Word or Excel file, an image, a video or an HTML page and it opens in the browser at its own link (PowerPoint files are shared as a download for now). PDFs page through, videos play with seeking and an HTML file renders as a page. Viewers need no account and no app. For video specifically, see how to turn a video into a link.

Page-by-page analytics, free

Every link records views, unique visitors, engaged time, device, browser and city. For a PDF you also get a bar for every page: how many readers reached it and how long they spent there, plus the page where most readers stopped. For a video you see how far people watched. All of it is on the free plan. We explain how to read it in see which page readers stop on.

Controls that cost nothing

Password, expiry date, view limit, view-only (downloads off), email gate, a PDF watermark, QR code and a custom link name are free on every plan. On Jumpshare, password protection is listed under Plus and its help center says expiring links are for Plus and Business. View-only and a watermark are deterrents, not copy protection: a determined viewer can still take a screenshot.

Free links never expire

A link stays live until you delete it, or until the expiry date you set. You can also replace the file behind a link and keep the same URL and QR code, so a corrected deck reaches everyone who already has the link. See share links that never expire.

What do you give up?

  • Recording. No screen recorder, no screenshot tool, no video editing.
  • An account to upload. You sign in with Google or an emailed code before the first upload. Your viewers need no account.
  • Limits on the free plan. 50 live links at a time, 250 MB per file and 500 MB in total. Pro raises the volume; every link feature is the same on both.

Which should you use?

  1. You record your screen every day: Jumpshare.
  2. You share finished files and want to know if they were read: upload a file to Link in Seconds and share the link.
  3. Both: record with your capture tool, then share the exported file as a tracked link when you need a password, an expiry date or reading analytics.

Quick answers

What does Jumpshare's free plan include?

Jumpshare Basic is free, with 2 GB of total storage and a 250 MB limit per file according to Jumpshare's own pages in October 2026. It also includes short screen recordings; Jumpshare's pages give different lengths for those, so check its pricing page for the current figure.

How much does Jumpshare cost?

Jumpshare Plus is $12 per user a month and Business is $16 per user a month, both billed annually, per Jumpshare's help center and pricing page as checked in October 2026.

Is Jumpshare good for sharing files, not just recordings?

It can share files, but its strengths are screen recording and screenshots. If what you share is mostly PDFs, decks, images and videos you already have, a file-first host gives you more for free: password, expiry and analytics on every plan.

What is a free Jumpshare alternative with analytics?

Link in Seconds gives every link views, unique visitors, time spent, device and city, and page-by-page reading for PDFs, on the free plan. Links never expire unless you set an expiry date.

Can Link in Seconds record my screen?

No. It does not record video or take screenshots. Record with any tool you like (or with Jumpshare), then upload the file to share it as a link.
