How to share a Lovable, Bolt or v0 app as a link (export and host it)

Take your AI-built app off the builder

dist.zip Live

To share a Lovable, Bolt or v0 app as a link, start with the builder's own Publish button: Lovable publishes to a lovable.app address, Bolt publishes a site from its Publish menu, and v0 publishes to a Vercel deployment. If you want it somewhere else, export the code, run npm run build, zip the output folder and publish it on a static host such as Link in Seconds. That only works for apps that run fully in the browser; anything with logins, a database or secret keys needs a real backend.

Lovable

Bolt

Is the builder's own publish button enough?

Often, yes. Each tool can put your app online in one step, and for a demo, a prototype or anything that uses the builder's own backend, that is the simplest and safest option.

When is it worth hosting the export elsewhere?

  • You want to stop paying for, or depending on, the builder once the app is finished.
  • You want the site next to your other shared files, with one place to see views.
  • You want a password or an expiry date on a front-end demo.
  • You already have the built files and just need an address for them.

Will your app work as a static site?

This is the question to answer first. A static site is just files: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images and fonts. It has no server of its own.

In your appWorks as a static site on Link in Seconds?
Landing pages, portfolios, calculators, gamesYes
Client-side routing (React Router and similar)Yes, tick Single-page app
Images, fonts and scripts bundled in the buildYes
Supabase login and databaseNo
Server functions, API routes, server actionsNo
Secret API keys (OpenAI, Stripe and so on)No, and never ship them in front-end code
Fonts, scripts or images loaded from another siteNo, bundle them into the build
What a built Lovable, Bolt or v0 app can do as a hosted static site.
Why outside calls are blocked: for safety, a site hosted with us can only load files from, and send requests to, its own address. That stops a hosted page from quietly sending visitors' data elsewhere, but it also means an app that talks to Supabase, an AI API or a Google Fonts link will load without those parts. Bundle fonts and assets into the build, and keep apps with a backend on the builder's hosting.

How to export and host the app

  1. 1

Get the code onto your computer

Lovable: sync the project to GitHub (all plans) or use Download codebase (paid plans). Bolt: open the project menu and download it as a ZIP, or connect GitHub. v0: download the code from the chat or pull it with GitHub.
  2. 2

    Build it

In the project folder run npm install, then npm run build. A Vite app writes a dist folder. A Next.js app needs output: 'export' in next.config first, and then writes an out folder.
  3. 3

    Check the build locally

Run npm run preview (Vite) or open the built folder with any local web server. If it works there without your dev server running, it can work as a static site.
  4. 4

    Zip the output folder

Zip dist or out. Zipping the whole project also works: we look for index.html at the top or inside a dist, build, out, public or _site folder.
  5. 5

Publish it in the Sites tab

On your dashboard open Sites, click Publish a site, drop the ZIP and name it. Tick Single-page app if the app has its own routes. It goes live at name.linkinseconds.site over HTTPS.

Lovable and Bolt (often Vite)

Open package.json. If the build script runs vite build, as many Lovable and Bolt web apps do, npm run build gives you a dist folder. Lovable's code export never includes the data inside your database, only the code. More on Vite builds in deploy a React or Vite build the easy way.

v0 (often Next.js)

A Next.js app only becomes static files with a static export: set output: 'export' in next.config, run the build, and Next.js writes an out folder. If the build fails because a page needs the server, the app isn't a static site and is better left on Vercel.

Website hosting is a Pro feature. Every link feature, like passwords, expiry and analytics, is free on every plan, but publishing a ZIP as a website needs Pro or Lifetime.

ProLifetime
Sites1025
Size of one site (unzipped)100 MB250 MB
Files in one site5001000
Largest single file25 MB25 MB
Static site limits. The Free plan has no website hosting.

Updating is one step: open the site's menu, choose Upload a new version and drop the new ZIP. The address, password and expiry date stay the same. If the app is a single self-contained HTML file, you don't need a site at all; upload it as a normal link on any plan, as in share a website you built with AI.

Quick answers

How do I share a Lovable app with someone?

Click Publish in Lovable and share the lovable.app address it gives you. Publishing to a lovable.app address is free on every Lovable plan. A Lovable share link is for collaborators on the project, not for showing the finished app.

Can I host a Bolt or Lovable app somewhere else?

Yes, if it runs entirely in the browser. Export the code, run npm run build, zip the dist folder and publish it on any static host. Apps that need a server, a database or secret API keys need a host that runs that backend too.

Does a v0 app work as a static site?

Only if it can be statically exported. v0 projects are often Next.js apps; add output: 'export' to next.config and run next build. Features that need a server, such as API routes or server actions, don't survive a static export.

Will Supabase login work on a static site on Link in Seconds?

No. Hosted sites can only load files and make requests to their own address, so calls to Supabase or any other outside API are blocked. Keep apps with logins or a database on the builder's own hosting or a full-stack host.

Is it free to host a Lovable, Bolt or v0 export on Link in Seconds?

No, website hosting is a Pro feature, with 10 sites on Pro and 25 on Lifetime. Lovable publishes to lovable.app for free, so check the builder's own option first. A single self-contained HTML file can be shared as a normal link on the free plan.
