For trainers and coaches

Your client's plan,one link that opens mid-workout

The training block as a PDF, the meal plan, the exercise demo videos. Put them behind one link your client can open between sets, swap in the next block without sending a new link, and see whether they actually looked.

Upload the plan PDF, and the demo videos if you have them, and send one link. It opens on the client's phone with no app or login: the PDF in a viewer, the videos streaming. When the next block starts, replace the file and the same link shows it. The view counter tells you it was opened, and Pro ($9/month) adds a password, an email gate and a watermark with the viewer's email.

Part of our guide to sharing a pdf as a link.

Getting the plan onto the client's phone

  1. 1

Export the plan as a PDF

From your spreadsheet, Canva template or Word document. Keep one exercise per row with sets, reps and rest; it reads far better on a phone than a dense table. Files go up to 100 MB on Free and 200 MB on Pro.

  2. 2

Add the demo videos, if you film them

Upload the PDF together with short clips of each lift or stretch and they become one album. Each video also has its own link, so you can send 'this is how the Romanian deadlift should look' on its own.

  3. 3

Send the link and let the client save it

Message the link or show the QR code in the session. Tell the client to add it to their home screen; from then on, the current block is always one tap away.

A plan that opens on the gym floor

Plans sent as email attachments get opened once at the desk and then lost. On the gym floor, between sets, with one bar of signal, the client needs the plan in two taps. A link does that: it opens the PDF in a viewer in the phone's browser, no app to install, no login to remember, and it can sit on their home screen like an app icon. Pages are easy to flick through and zoom into when the font is small.

New block, same link

Programmes change every few weeks, and every change used to mean a new attachment and a client training off the old one. Here you replace the file behind the link: the next block appears at the same address, the home-screen icon still works, and nothing needs re-sending. If you want the client to know, just message them 'week 5 is up'.

Exercise demos next to the plan

Written cues only go so far. Film a short clip of each movement and upload the clips with the PDF: they become one album, and the videos stream on the phone with seeking, so the client can replay the tempo on the eccentric without downloading anything. Every clip also has its own link, handy when you want to correct one movement by message.

Protecting a programme people pay for

If the plan is your product, you do not want it passed around a group chat. Switch downloads off to make the link view-only (any plan). On Pro, add an email gate so the client enters their email before viewing, and a watermark that stamps that email and the date across the PDF preview. Add a password or a view limit if you want. None of this makes a screenshot impossible, but a watermarked copy with a name on it rarely travels far.

One link per client, or one per programme

Two setups work. For one-to-one clients, give each client their own link, and on Pro give it a readable name so you can find it in your dashboard. For a group programme, one link for everyone and one file to update. Either way the view counter shows who is keeping up, and Pro can notify you when a link is opened. Pro is $9/month or $49/year; the free plan covers 20 links to try it with a few clients.

Physios and clinics: home exercise sheets

Home exercise programmes are the same job: a sheet of movements, a few demo clips, and a patient who needs to find them at home. Print the QR on the paper sheet so the videos are one scan away. Keep names, diagnoses and anything identifying out of an open link; use a password on Pro, or give each patient a generic sheet without personal details.

Being straight about what this does not do

It is not a coaching app
No workout logging, check-ins, messaging, scheduling or payments. It delivers the plan; your coaching happens elsewhere.
Clients cannot fill it in
The PDF is read-only in the viewer. Clients track their numbers wherever they already do.
Screenshots are always possible
View-only, the email gate and the watermark deter sharing and make it traceable. They cannot prevent it.
Long videos need trimming
Each file tops out at 200 MB on Pro. Short demo clips fit easily; full-length follow-along classes may not.

No. The link opens the PDF in the phone's browser, with no app and no account. They can add it to their home screen for one-tap access.
