Can I share a long recording?

Yes. Any M4A up to 100 MB is covered on the free plan, which at typical voice memo quality is a long recording. Pro raises the limits if you need more.

Can I keep the recording private?

Yes. On Pro you can add a password so only invited people can play it, and set an expiry date so the link stops working after a while.
