## How do I share a trip's photos with the whole group?

One person gathers the photos and videos, uploads them together, and gets one album link. Everyone opens it in their browser, on iPhone or Android, sees every photo full size, plays the clips in place and can save the whole trip as one ZIP. The link does not expire, so it still works when you look back next year.

### One link, every phone

Photos dropped into a chat get recompressed and buried under three hundred messages within a day. A link to one album keeps the originals in one place and opens in a browser for everybody, whatever kind of phone they carry.

### Photos and the itinerary together

A trip is not only photos. The itinerary PDF, the hotel confirmation and the restaurant list can sit in the same album as the pictures. PDFs open in a viewer, so on the road someone can pull up the day's plan from the same link they will later use to relive it.

### Clips that play, not files to download

Short videos from phones and action cameras stream in the album with proper seeking, so nobody has to download a whole clip to watch the jump off the rocks. Per-file uploads go up to 250 MB on Free and 500 MB on Pro, which fits most phone clips.

### One photo, one link, when someone asks

Every photo inside the album has its own link. When your friend wants the sunset picture for her profile, send that photo's link instead of saying 'scroll down to the fourth row'. It opens straight on that image, full size.

### Being straight about what this does not do

The group cannot upload to it. There is no guest upload. Everyone sends photos to the collector, who posts them.

No map or timeline view. The album is a grid in upload order. It does not read GPS data or sort by place.

Long raw footage will not fit. Each file tops out at 500 MB on Pro. Trim or export long 4K clips first.

A shared link is for sharing, not a backup. Keep your own copies either way.

## How it works

- 1 ### Pick one collector Ask everyone to send their best photos to one person as files rather than as chat photos, so they arrive uncompressed. On iPhone, AirDrop keeps the originals; on Android, sending as a document does the same.

- 2 ### Upload the photos, clips and the paperwork together Drop everything on the upload card in one go: photos, short videos, the itinerary PDF, the restaurant list. It becomes one album. iPhone HEIC photos are converted to JPEG in your browser so the Android half of the group can open them.

- 3 ### Post the link in the group chat One message, one link. Anyone can scroll it, play the clips, grab a single photo by its own link, or download the whole album as a ZIP.

## Why the group chat is the wrong place for trip photos

Photos dropped into a chat are recompressed on the way, buried under three hundred messages within a day, and gone for anyone who joined late or cleared their storage. Shared albums in one ecosystem leave out whoever has the other kind of phone. A link to one album fixes all three: originals, one place, and it opens in a browser for everybody.

## The itinerary and the tickets belong in the same place

A trip is not only photos. The itinerary PDF, the hotel confirmation, the ferry timetable and the list of restaurants you promised to remember can all sit in the same album as the pictures. PDFs open in a viewer rather than downloading, so on the road someone can pull up the day's plan from the same link they will later use to relive it.

- ·Keep confirmation numbers and anything with a booking reference out of an open link, or add a password on any plan. Anyone with the link can open what is in it.

## Clips that play, not files that download

Short videos from phones and action cameras stream in the album with proper seeking, so nobody has to download a whole clip to watch the jump off the rocks. Per-file uploads go up to 250 MB on Free and 500 MB on Pro, which fits most phone clips; very long 4K footage is better trimmed or exported at 1080p before uploading.

## Add to it every evening

You do not have to wait until you are home. Upload the day's best shots each evening from your phone and the same album link just grows. People back home can follow along without joining a group or installing anything, and the group ends the trip with the album already done.

## One photo, one link, when someone asks

Every photo inside the album has its own link. When your friend wants the sunset picture for her profile, or your aunt asks for the one of the kids at the market, send that photo's link instead of saying 'scroll down to the fourth row'. It opens straight on that image, full size.

## It still works next year

Links do not expire on any plan, so the album is still there when someone digs it up for the reunion. If you would rather it disappear, set an expiry date on any plan or disable it from your dashboard. Keep your own copies either way; a shared link is for sharing, not a backup.
