## Should you use Tiiny Host or Netlify Drop?

Pick Netlify Drop if the site is the start of a real project: Netlify can build frameworks, run serverless functions and handle forms, and the free plan includes a custom domain. Pick Tiiny Host if you just want a finished HTML page, ZIP site or PDF online with as little setup as possible. If what you really want is to share a finished site or file like a link, with a QR code and a view count, a file-to-link tool fits too.

### Netlify builds; Tiiny hosts

According to Netlify's docs, a logged-in drop can include a project that still needs a build step, and Netlify detects the framework and builds it. Tiiny Host serves the finished files you upload, which is simpler and needs nothing set up.

### A platform vs a simple host

Around Drop sit Netlify's functions, forms, deploy previews and Git deploys. Tiiny Host stays a static host for pages and files. More power on one side, less to learn on the other.

### A third option: share it like a file

Link in Seconds publishes a single HTML page on any plan, and a ZIP site on Pro, with a QR code and a view counter on every link. The same account also shares the PDF brief, the demo video and the source ZIP, each with its own preview.

### Before you choose

Plans change often. Both services have reworked their pricing recently, so check their current pricing pages for quotas and prices before you commit.

Static only, outside Netlify. Neither Tiiny Host nor a file-to-link tool runs server code; if your site needs functions or form handling, that points to Netlify.

ZIP sites are a Pro feature here. Single HTML pages publish on any plan, but multi-file ZIP sites need Pro on Link in Seconds.

## How it works

- 1 ### Does it need a build? Unbuilt framework code, functions or forms point to Netlify. Finished files work anywhere.

- 2 ### Decide how you will share it A site people browse suits a host. A page you send with a QR code and want a view count on suits a link.

- 3 ### Publish and send Drop the folder on Netlify or Tiiny, or upload the page here and share the link or its QR code.

## What each one actually takes

Tiiny Host is built around the upload: drop a single HTML file, a ZIP of a static site or a PDF, and it gives you a live link on its own subdomain. Netlify Drop takes a folder, usually the output of a build, and deploys it to a Netlify subdomain; if you are logged in it can also take a project that still needs building and run the build for you. For a finished page either works. For a framework project you have not built yet, Netlify does the work that Tiiny Host leaves to you.

## Publishing without an account

Netlify's docs say a drop made without signing in is protected with a temporary password until you claim it with an account, so the no-account path is a preview rather than a place to leave a site. Tiiny Host's rules for anonymous and free uploads have changed over time, so check its current plans if that matters to you. Either way, anything you want to keep online belongs on an account.

## Room to grow versus less to manage

Netlify is a developer platform, and Drop is just its quickest entrance. Behind it sit serverless functions, forms, deploy previews, Git-based deploys, team features and a CLI, and its free plan already includes custom domains with SSL. Netlify's plans are usage-based, so a busy site draws on a monthly allowance. Tiiny Host keeps things simpler: a dashboard of hosted pages and files, with custom domains, analytics and QR codes on its paid tiers. If the site will grow, Netlify grows with it; if it will not, Tiiny Host asks less of you.

## When a file-to-link tool fits better

Most people who reach for Drop or Tiiny are not running a web project; they have one thing to show someone, often alongside a PDF, a video or a ZIP of source files. Link in Seconds treats each of those as its own link with a proper preview. A single HTML page publishes on any plan, files up to 250 MB on a free sign-in, and ZIP sites on Pro. Every link has a QR code and a view counter, with no bandwidth meter to watch. It does not build, run functions or handle forms, so for a real web project Netlify remains the right home.

## Which one should you pick?

A site that needs a build, functions, forms or a team workflow: Netlify. A finished page, ZIP site or PDF you want online with minimal setup: Tiiny Host. A finished page you want to share like a file, next to the other files that go with it, with a QR code and a view count: Link in Seconds. Plenty of developers use more than one: Netlify for the product, a simpler host for the one-off things they send to people.
