## How do I turn a picture into a link?

To turn a picture into a link, drop the photo or image (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or iPhone HEIC) in the uploader above and copy the short link. Anyone you send it to opens the full-quality picture right in their browser, no account and no download.

### Share a screenshot as a link

Grab it with Cmd+Shift+4 on a Mac or Win+Shift+S on Windows, drop it here, and paste the link into a Jira ticket, Slack, or a support email. The viewer sees the exact pixels, no chat-app blur, nothing to download.

### PNG, JPG, WebP, or GIF, pick right

PNG for screenshots and logos, JPG for photos, WebP for light web assets, GIF for short loops. Whatever you upload is byte for byte what your viewer gets, with no re-compression.

### Send high-res without email crushing it

Email and chat quietly shrink a 4000px photo to a soft thumbnail. A link serves the original at native size, up to 250 MB free and 500 MB on Pro.

### From photo to a printable QR code

Every image link ships a downloadable QR code. Put it on a frame, a product tag, or an event flyer, and swap the photo behind it later without reprinting.

### Image link limits, and what it does not do

Size: up to 250 MB per image and 500 MB of storage in total on the free plan, 500 MB per image on Pro.

Formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, SVG, BMP and ICO. iPhone HEIC photos are turned into JPG in your browser before upload.

The link opens a viewer page, not a raw .jpg address, so it will not work inside an <img> tag or a field that only takes a direct image URL.

No editing, resizing, or compressing. Upload the final file you want people to see.

No image watermark. Our watermark applies to PDF previews only, never a JPEG or PNG.

View-only deters casual saving, but it is a courtesy gate, not copy protection.

## How it works

- 1 ### Pick or screenshot the image Take a screenshot (Cmd+Shift+4 on a Mac, Win+Shift+S on Windows) or choose any PNG, JPG, WebP, or GIF already on your device.

- 2 ### Drop it in the uploader Drag the file into the box above. Sign in with a free Google account and you get one clean linkinseconds.com link in a few seconds. Viewers need no account.

- 3 ### Share the link or its QR Paste the link into a chat, email, or ticket, or print the free QR code. It opens the full-quality image in any browser, and you see the view count.

## Turn a photo into a link on iPhone, Android, Mac or Windows

There is no app to install. The uploader on this page runs in any modern browser, so the steps are the same on every device: pick the picture, sign in with Google the first time (free, one tap), and copy the link. Pick several photos at once and they become one album link. The person you send it to needs nothing at all: the photo opens full size in their browser.

- ·iPhone or iPad: open this page in Safari, tap the upload box and choose Photo Library. iPhone photos are saved as HEIC, and they arrive as a JPG that opens on any device.

- ·Android: open the page in Chrome, tap the upload box and pick the photo from your gallery or your files.

- ·Mac: drag the image from Finder or your desktop onto the upload box. For a picture in the Photos app, use File > Export first. HEIC files are converted to JPG in your browser.

- ·Windows: drag the file from File Explorer onto the box, or click the box and browse to your Pictures folder.

## Share a screenshot as a link anyone can open

Screenshots are the most-shared image there is, an error message, a bug, a Slack thread, a receipt, a settings screen. The awkward part is getting one off your machine cleanly: attaching it drops it into someone's downloads, and pasting into chat re-encodes it. Upload the screenshot here and you get a link you can drop into a Jira ticket, a support email, or a text without making anyone save a file first. The receiver clicks once and sees the exact pixels you captured, crisp text, readable UI, no chat-app blur.

## Share multiple photos with one link

Email was never built for forty photos. Most inboxes stop at 20 to 25 MB per message, so a batch of full-resolution shots bounces or has to be split over five emails, and the person on the other end gets a wall of attachments. Send photos as a link instead: select all the pictures at once, they become one album link, and you paste that single URL into the email. The recipient taps it and scrolls the whole album in the browser at full quality, saves only the photos they want, and nobody has to unzip anything. Add more pictures later and the same link shows them.

- ·One album holds up to 500 MB of photos. Each photo also counts toward your plan's links and storage: 50 live links and 500 MB in total on the free plan, unlimited links on Pro.

- ·One password locks the whole album, and with downloads on, viewers can save every photo at once as a single ZIP. Turn downloads off and the album is view-only.

- ·Weddings, trips, class photos and family events each have their own guide; see the links further down this page.

## PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF, pick right

The format decides how your image looks and how big the file is. Use PNG for screenshots, logos, and anything with sharp text or transparency, it's lossless, so edges stay clean. Use JPG for photos and product shots where a smaller file matters more than pixel-perfect edges. WebP splits the difference and is great for web-bound design assets. GIF is for short looping animations, not stills. Link in Seconds keeps whatever you upload exactly as-is, no re-compression, no conversion, no quality drop, so the format you choose is the format your viewer gets.

- ·Accepted image formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, AVIF, SVG, BMP and ICO, served exactly as uploaded.

- ·iPhone HEIC photos are the one exception: they are converted to JPG in your browser before upload, so they open on every device.

- ·JPG to link: camera and phone photos, product shots and anything where a smaller file matters. The link opens the JPG at its original size.

- ·PNG to link: screenshots, logos and diagrams keep their sharp text and transparent background.

- ·GIF to link: an animated GIF plays and loops in the viewer exactly as you made it.

- ·Size: up to 250 MB per image on a free account, 500 MB per image on Pro.

## Send high-res without email crushing it

Email and messaging apps quietly downscale big images to save bandwidth, a 4000-pixel photo can arrive as a soft 1024-pixel thumbnail, and the person on the other end has no way to get the original back. That's fine for a meme and terrible for a print file, a photography proof, or a detailed diagram. Uploading the full-resolution image and sharing the link sidesteps the compression entirely: the byte-for-byte original sits behind the URL, and viewers open it at native size. On a free sign-in that covers images up to 250 MB; Pro raises it to 500 MB for RAW-adjacent exports and huge stitched panoramas.

## View-only for a design proof

When you send a mockup, a logo comp, or a photo proof to a client before they've paid or signed off, you want them to see it, not quietly save the full-res file. View-only mode, free on every plan, hides the download button and direct link, so the picture displays in the browser but there's no one-tap save. Be honest with yourself about what that buys you: it stops casual downloading and keeps a clean preview feel, but anyone determined can still screenshot what's on their screen. It's a courtesy gate for proofs and previews, not DRM.

## From photo to printable QR code

Every image link comes with a downloadable QR code, which turns a digital picture into something you can put on physical things. Scan it and the photo opens on the phone in front of you, useful for a framed print that links to the full gallery, a product tag that shows the item in use, an event flyer with a photo reveal, or packaging that opens an unboxing shot. Because you can replace the image behind the link later while keeping the same QR, you can print once and swap the picture seasonally without reprinting a single label.

## Link a picture in HTML, Gmail, Word or Google Docs

Sometimes the picture itself should be the link, so a click opens a page. In HTML, wrap the image in an anchor: <a href="your-link"><img src="photo.jpg" alt="What the photo shows"></a>. In Gmail or Outlook, insert the picture into the message, select it, press Insert link (Ctrl+K or Cmd+K) and paste the address. In Word or Google Docs, click the image, choose Insert > Link and paste the address. Want the click to open the full-quality photo? Upload it above first and paste that link as the target.

## Embed the image on your website

To show the picture on your own site or blog, open the link's settings in your dashboard, go to the Sharing tab and copy the code under Embed on your site. Paste it into any page that accepts HTML. It is an iframe that shows your image in a clean viewer with no header or footer, full width and 640 pixels tall, which you can change. One honest caveat: this is an embedded viewer, not a raw .jpg file, so it will not work inside an img tag or in a field that only takes an image URL. Views from the embed are counted, and replacing the file updates every page it sits on.
