# Frequently asked questions

What the product does, what it costs, and, the part most tools skip, what it genuinely cannot do for you.

The short version: you upload a file or a set of files, we host them, and you get one clean address to share plus a QR code. Whoever you send it to opens it in their browser with no account, no app and no download. You can see when it was opened, replace the file behind the link without the address changing, and add a password, an expiry date, a custom name and view-only mode, free on every plan.

If your question is really “will this work for my situation?”, the [use-case pages](https://linkinseconds.com/use-cases) answer that job by job: each one includes a section on where we are the wrong tool. Plans and prices are on [the pricing page](https://linkinseconds.com/pricing), and longer walkthroughs are on [the blog](https://linkinseconds.com/blog).

## Files, albums and formats

The core of the product is small: you upload, we host, and you get one address to share. Several files at once become one album link, and each file inside it also gets a link of its own. Free covers 50 links and 500 MB of storage, with every link feature and unlimited albums; the caps and what happens at each of them are the questions below.

Drop several photos or files at once and Link in Seconds bundles them into one album link (lisview.com/b/…) that shows every file in a clean viewer, and you also get a private link for each individual photo. It happens automatically; there's nothing extra to set up.

Yes. Drop several files at once and Link in Seconds bundles them into an album, a single link (lisview.com/b/…) that shows every file in one clean viewer, where the recipient previews and downloads each one without signing in. Albums are unlimited on every plan, with an album password, an expiry date and per-album view analytics included. Free includes 50 links and 500 MB of storage, with every link feature and unlimited albums.

40+ file types across documents, images, video, audio, code, data and archives: PDFs, Word and Excel, PNG, JPG, WebP, GIF and SVG, MP4, WebM and MOV, MP3 and WAV, code and data files, HTML pages and ZIP folders. Most preview right in the browser. Executable files are blocked for safety.

Yes. You can keep adding files to an album after you've shared it, and the link never changes, post it in the group chat on the morning of the event and keep feeding it through the day.

Yes. PDF files are supported and shown in a clean browser preview with open and download options.

## Opening, sharing and QR codes

Nobody you share with ever needs an account, an app or a download, that is the whole point, and it is what makes a link work for a relative, a recruiter or a diner at a table. Every link also carries a QR code you can print.

No. Anyone you send the link to opens it in any browser, phone or desktop, with no app and no sign-in. You only sign in to create and manage your own albums.

No. Link in Seconds works directly in your browser. There is no desktop software, download, or installation required, just upload a file and share the link or QR code.

Yes. Each uploaded project can have a QR code so you can share your resume, portfolio, or PDF offline.

Nothing here takes your album down on a countdown by default, the album you share today still opens next year. You stay in control: you can disable a link yourself at any time, or set a deliberate expiry date on one, on every plan. Free includes 50 links and 500 MB of storage, with every link feature and unlimited albums; Pro and Lifetime only add room.

## Privacy, tracking and control

Links are unlisted rather than secret: not indexed and not guessable, but openable by anyone who has the URL. The link controls, password, expiry, view-only, disable, are free on every plan and are how you narrow that, and we are deliberate about saying what they do not cover. A password stops a forwarded link; it cannot stop a screenshot.

Links are public by default, anyone with the link can open the file. On every plan, Free included, you can add a password, set an expiry date, make a link view-only, or disable it anytime.

Yes, on every plan, Free included. Each link shows its views and unique visitors over time, plus their countries, cities, devices, browsers and referrers, and you can get an email the moment it is first opened.

Yes, on every plan, Free included. You can hide the Link in Seconds badge on your public pages and add your own logo and accent colour.

## Resumes, portfolios and other jobs

Most people arrive with one specific task. These are the common ones, and each has a page of its own with the workflow, the numbers and the honest limits written out in full.

Yes. You can upload your resume PDF and share it as a public link with recruiters, clients, or hiring managers.

Yes. You can upload an HTML portfolio page, an image portfolio, or a PDF portfolio and share it as a clean public link.

Link in Seconds (linkinseconds.com) is a browser-based web app: upload a file and get a clean public link in seconds. It takes PDFs, images, video, audio, HTML and more, and every link comes with a QR code, view analytics and link controls. There is nothing to download or install.

No. Link in Seconds is not LinkedIn and isn't affiliated with it. It's a separate tool for turning a PDF, resume, image, or HTML page into a clean shareable link at linkinseconds.com.

## Plans and pricing

Every number here is read from the same place in the code that enforces it, so what you see is what the product does. The free plan is free for as long as you like and includes every link feature; Pro and Lifetime add room and website hosting.

Free includes 50 live links, files up to 250 MB each and 500 MB of storage in total, with no card required and every link feature included. Links never expire, and deleting one frees its slot.

Pro is $9 per month or $49 per year, and Lifetime is a one-time $99. Every link feature is already free, so the paid plans add room and website hosting: unlimited links, 15 GB of storage, 500 MB per file and 10 hosted websites on Pro; 30 GB, 500 MB per file and 25 websites on Lifetime.
