It no longer deletes sites on a 7-day timer, but free accounts need to log in at least once every three months. Here is every limit, what each one means in practice, and what to do when you hit one. On Link in Seconds, a password, analytics, QR codes and hiding the branding are free on every plan. ## What each limit means in practice ### 3 MB is smaller than it sounds A hand-written HTML page is a few kilobytes, so 3 MB feels generous until you add one hero photo from a phone (often 3 to 5 MB on its own), a custom font, or a bundled copy of a JavaScript library. Exports from AI site builders and design tools are the usual culprits: they inline images as base64, which makes them about a third bigger than the original files. PDFs are tighter still. Tiiny's PDF pages describe a 0.5 MB limit for PDFs on the free plan, which rules out most brochures, decks and portfolios. ### One site means one project at a time You can replace the project, but you cannot keep a resume page and a client mock-up live side by side on the free plan. Publishing the second one means taking down the first. ### The banner and the subdomain Free pages carry a Tiiny banner and live on a tiiny.site address. For a quick preview that is fine. For a portfolio or a page you put in front of clients, it is usually the reason people upgrade. ### The three-month login rule Tiiny's help center says free links stay up while the account is active, and that free accounts should log in at least once every three months or their projects may be removed. Put a reminder in your calendar if a free Tiiny page matters to you. (Older reviews that say free sites expire after 7 days describe a previous version of the plan.) ### Pages with password or login fields Tiiny holds free projects that contain a password or sign-in field as a short preview until a person reviews them, a sensible anti-phishing measure. If your page has a login form, expect a delay before it goes live. **Hitting the 3 MB wall?** Before you pay, try: compress images to WebP, load libraries from a CDN instead of bundling them, and remove unused fonts. Many pages drop under 3 MB with those three changes alone. ## When the free plan is enough - One small page you want live quickly: a test, a mock-up, a one-page invite. - A page under 3 MB that you are happy to show with a banner on a tiiny.site address. - Something temporary you will log in to look after anyway. ## Free alternatives, by what you are publishing ### One HTML page or a PDF: Link in Seconds If what you have is a _single_ HTML file, a PDF, an image or a video, a file host fits better than a site host. A single image, an embedded font or a bundled JavaScript library can push a page over it. Compress images, link libraries from a CDN, or use a host with a bigger free limit. ### Can I use a custom domain on Tiiny Host for free? No. The free plan publishes to a tiiny.site subdomain, and even the cheapest paid plan (Tiny) does not include one: custom domains start on the Solo plan. ### Is there a free alternative to Tiiny Host with a bigger upload limit?
